About the band
The Pilsner Jazz Band, an nine-piece swing orchestra from Pilsen, plays jazz classics from the 1930s and 1940s, some of which are true to the original and some of which are a little more modern. The repertoire includes compositions by the most well-known and celebrated greats of the swing scene: Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and many more.
Our orchestra has regular performances in Pilsen and other places in the Czech Republic and abroad: The Pilsner Jazz Band participated in festivals in all of Europe, among others in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia. In the year 2020, Pilsner Jazz Band performed concerts in the USA.
Since its foundation in 2008, Pilsner Jazz Band has performed on more than 400 events: festivals, swing parties, weddings and other private events, as well as city festivities, corporate events, balls and other occasions.
The band has already recorded four albums: Old Jazz with New Face (2010), All of Us (2012), Happy Swingin' (2015) and Live at the Kennedy Center (2020).

Swing is music for every occasion
In 15 years of regular concert activity, we have taken part in more than 400 events that have been filled with many unique, unforgettable moments. With joy we remember the aerial acrobatics show in Germany, the festivals in Latvia, Sweden, Switzerland and other European countries, playing at a burlesque show, the concerts in Washington and in the only true heart of New York: Manhattan or the concert for the german president Frank-Walter Steinmeier. But we will also remember countless company celebrations, balls, weddings and other family celebrations, retro parties, dance festivals, veteran events and much more for a long time.
Swing suits every occasion you want. Our repertoire, which lasts six hours, mainly contains compositions from the 30s and 40s of the last century, but we can also get your celebrations rolling with the music styles boogie and rock'n'roll. We are also happy to play rhythms for you that are suitable for classical dances - waltz, cha-cha, samba, rumba and others.
We are fully equipped with sound system. Our sound equipment is more than sufficient for a medium-sized hall. From the organizer's point of view, we don't need anything other than ordinary sockets, we take care of everything else ourselves.
